How Can We Help?

Flexi Complete streamlines the print and cut workflow for decals through its integrated design and production tools. The process involves creating a digital design, applying automated cut lines, and managing the final output through Production Manager.
1. Apply Contour Cut Lines
- Create or Import Artwork: Design your decal in Flexi or import an existing vector or high-quality bitmap (PNG/JPEG).
- Generate Cut Paths: Select your artwork and go to Effects > Contour Cut.
- Adjust Parameters: In the DesignCentral window, you can set the Offset (margin between the art and the cut) and choose options like With Holes to cut internal parts of letters or shapes.
- Multiple Cut Types: You can apply multiple paths with different colors (e.g., “CutContour” for a kiss-cut and “PerfCutContour” for a through-cut) to perform different cutting actions on one job.
2. Prepare the RIP and Print Job
- Open RIP & Print: Once your cut lines are set, click the RIP and Print icon.
- Set Registration Marks: Flexi automatically adds registration marks (such as Graphtec or HP barcodes) that the cutter uses to align the blade with the printed image.
- Workflow Selection: In the Cut tab, ensure Send as Separate Jobs is selected if you need to laminate the print before cutting.
3. Production and Finishing
- Print First: Send the job to the printer. The print will include the graphics and the necessary registration marks.
- Laminate (Optional): If required, laminate the printed sheet before loading it into your cutting plotter.
- Cut the Decals: Load the printed media into the cutter. In Production Manager, find the corresponding cut job and click Send. The cutter will read the registration marks or barcode and accurately cut your decal shapes.
Advanced Features in Flexi Complete
- Auto-Serialization: Use this tool to automatically create numbered or personalized decals without manual design work.
- Nesting: Flexi Complete optimizes material usage by automatically arranging multiple decals to fit as many as possible on a single sheet or roll.
- Direct to Cutter: For specific workflows, you can send cut data directly to controller software like GoProduce or ZCC while the print job is being processed.
