Course content

This section will contain a review of how Rapid Textures are created, an explanation of the parameters of the Rapid Texture Tool and how to change the texture shapes after they have been created.

This section will review how to use inlays to incorporate text and other graphic shapes into a texture.  This will include creating both the male (routing offsets) and female (fill toolpath) inlay shapes.

This section will review how to create offsets from text and other shapes to mask where a Rapid Texture will occur, making it easy include text along with the Rapid Texture created.  A 3D Engrave toolpath is a effective way to clear out around the text.

Rapid Picture is a creative tool that can be used to create unique signage.  This technique will involve editing the bitmap in a software package such as Flexi or MS Paint and then recreating the image with Rapid Picture.

This section will cover how to use Rapid Texture to include 3D Reliefs in the Texture, and which tools and offsets to use to produce the best results.

Requirements

      • This is a beginner course so everyone who is interested in learning the principles of EnRoute are welcome to the course.
      • This is a live online virtual class held on Zoom, so you’ll need a computer with a mic and camera to fully participate.
      • It is recommended that you have the most recent (V7) EnRoute software. We will provide a free trial for use during the class if needed.

EJ began his CAD CAM career as part of the SAi Product Support Group back in 1999, joining shortly after the merger of Scanvec Inc and Amiable Technologies to form SAi. Shortly after joining SAi, EJ became a specialist in SAi’s CAD CAM software and has been involved with the current EnRoute Software ever since. Over the course of that time, EJ has conducted many training classes and workshops on EnRoute Software and related applications.
